Site work and renovation of a civil project in Chester, West Virginia. Working plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Water Treatment Plant Equipment Improvements The proposed project includes improvements to portions of the City of Chester's Water Treatment Plant and Water Distribution System with the following general scope of work. Remove & Replace Filter Tank Access Manways – the existing tank manways for each filter tank are too small to allow for proper access, inspection, and maintenance, and will be replaced with new larger, accessible manways. ? Removal & Disposal of Existing Filter Media within Filter Tanks – the existing filter media has served its useful life for each filter tank and will be removed & replaced inkind with new filter media and to the current media layer thicknesses. ? Structural Testing, Filter Tank and Contingency Repair, Filter Tanks – after removal of the filter media, each filter tank will be tested for structural deficiencies and any deficiencies observed will be repaired.
