Demolition and renovation of an educational facility in Binghamton, New York. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; and for the renovation of a educational facility.
**As of January 2, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Binghamton University is seeking a qualified contractor to renovate an approx. 7,500 sqft area of the first floor and approx. 6,600 sqft area of the second floor of the existing building at 10 Gannett Drive, Johnson City, NY 13790 in order to create a Facility for the Speech and Language Pathology Department. Mechanical Scope of Work: The mechanical scope of work consists of the reconfiguration of existing HVAC systems to support a new use and layout. Demolition work includes the removal of existing supply and return duct along with all existing variable air volume (VAV) boxes within the work area. New VAV boxes, new perimeter hydronic heat, grilles, diffusers, associated ductwork and hydronic piping will be installed. Building controls within the work area will be converted from an existing building management system to Siemens BMS, including an update of devices associated with the air handling unit serving the renovation area.
