Site work for a water / sewer project in Cleveland, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work of providing AMR Water Meter Replacement Material and Installation will be let under one contract. The principal items of work are detailed herein below. Principal Work: 1. 1,300 Water Meters with Appurtenances The Contractor is hereby advised that TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE on this project and that the contract time of 180 consecutive calendar days total and noted restrictions shall be strictly observed. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES WILL BE ASSESSED IF CONTRACT TIME IS EXCEEDED. The Contractor may apply for an extension of time in accordance with the provisions of the contract; however, such an extension must be approved prior to the contract completion date to avoid the imposition of liquidated damages A. Contract work provides for the Supplier to furnish the following: 1. 1,300 3/4" Water Meters 2. 2 1" Water Meters 3. 8 2" Water Meters 4. Complete Meter Washers for correct installation furnished with meters B. Meter manufacturer to furnish all meter washers required for their meter to be installed. C. All meters shall have meter number engraved on lid cover of meter and meter. If meter is not engraved, product will be rejected. D. The Contractor shall pay all fees required by CNI to complete this Project. E. Project to be awarded on Base Bid.
