49th Street Elementary School - Major Modernization Project The proposed Project consists of new construction, reconfiguration of existing spaces, site improvements, and demolition of school facilities. The Project scope also includes interim facilities, as necessary, to accommodate the temporary displacement of any facility and its associated function during construction. Detailed Scope of Work A. Lunch Pavilion (attached) Proposers that are not currently prequalified by the District must submit the Prime Contractor Prequalification Questionnaire at least ten (10) business days before and must be approved at least five (5) business days prior to the Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) due date indicated on the Important Initial Information page 2 of this RFQ. The design-build budget for the design and construction of the Project, inclusive of all costs of design, engineering, construction, supervision and management, is approximately $56 million. The budget is subject to change at any time prior to award, at the sole and absolute discretion of the District, by issuance of an addendum; or at any time after the award in accordance with the terms of the design-build contract. District has established participation goals to attain twenty-five percent (25%) of the contract dollars going to certified SBE/MicroSBE and five percent (5%) going to VBE/DVBE. All Proposers shall implement policies, procedures and methods to meet these goals, which may include but not be limited to the procurement of supplies, equipment, technical services, and/or other services under this contract.
