Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes, properly identified with the bidder's name, contract number, bid opening date and a statement that it is a sealed bid covering the materials or services for which the bid is submitted. Bids shall be addressed to the Purchasing Agent, Hamilton Municipal Building, 345 High Street, Hamilton, Ohio 45011. In general, the improvements on which proposals are requested will require a variation of welding on various items such as gas mains, gas services, gas regulator systems, gas meter sets, etc.; of the City of Hamilton's Gas Distribution System. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Butler County and the City of Hamilton, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division, (614) 644-2239. The City of Hamilton reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the proposals received or to accept any proposal which is deemed most favorable to the City of Hamilton, Ohio. The successful contractors and their subcontractors whose employees perform work on a City of Hamilton gas pipeline system shall have on file and submit with the bid proposal a copy of the contractor's Operators Qualification Plan and a current P.H.M.S.A. Pipeline Drug & Alcohol Plan.
