The City of Leduc invites submissions from operators / contractors interested in pursuing qualification status for the provision of snow hauling for the 2023 - 2024 winter season as set out in this request. Respondents must be actively engaged in the line of work required to perform the scope of work identified and must be able to refer to work of a similar nature performed by them. This Request for Qualification (RFQ) is an invitation by the City to prospective Respondents to qualify for eligibility to provide snow hauling services and is not an offer. Neither the issuing of this Request for Qualifications nor receipt of a submission will imply any obligation or commitment on the part of the City to enter into an agreement or contract of any kind in respect to any or all contents of this RFQ. Qualification is a tool to develop a list of qualified respondents to engage in specific categories of work as listed in this request. Qualification is a multi-stage evaluation process to evaluate and develop a list of qualified respondents and includes an equipment and snowboard inspection. Qualified contractors (up to a maximum of 16) will be placed on a call-out list for the possible provision of snow hauling services to the City. The City conducts several snow removal operations in which contracted snow haulers may be required to supplement the City's snow removal operations. The work involves the provision of operated tandem or single axle units (minimum 10-yard box before snowboard) with a snowboard extension to haul snow from various City locations to City designated snow dump sites, on an as required call-out basis for the 2023 - 2024 winter season. Qualified contractors will be placed on a call-out list. The work is on an as required basis and the number of equipment working at any one time will vary. The City makes no surety or guarantee of the value or volume of work as work volumes and requirements fluctuate. Any work will be on an as required basis, as determined by the City.
