42" Raw Water Lines Rehabilitation Project The scope of work is for the installation/removal of a fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composite/epoxy system on two existing 42" iron raw water pipes: Removal of existing carbon fiber system on affected areas and installation of a new fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composite/ epoxy system to an existing horizontal 42" ductile iron raw water pipe at the Ashland Water Treatment Plant. As well as the installation of a fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composite/ epoxy system to an existing vertical 42" ductile iron raw water pipe at the Ashland Water Treatment Plant. Surface preparation of the existing pipes and the installation of a UV stable chemically resistant topcoat is to be applied to the FRP systems. All Contractors questions regarding this project must be in writing and e-mailed to scole@ashlandky.gov or faxed to 606-385- 3333 at least 5 days prior to the bid date. Question Deadline 11/03/2023. Each Bidder must deposit with his Bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within ninety (90) consecutive calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
