A firm timeline for has not been established, solicitation award is not expected prior to February of 2024. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Description: The New York State Office of General Services Design and Construction Group (D&C), on behalf of the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, is seeking Letters of Interest from qualified engineering firms to develop program reports, construction documents, and construction phase services for fire alarm system evaluations, studies, and/or full design and construction services for full or partial replacements and/or upgrades for correctional facilities state-wide. Question Deadline 11/02/2023 at 2:00 PM ET. Term: 5 Years (3 years to assign new work + 2 additional years to complete assignments) MBE Goal: 15% WBE Goal: 15% SDVOB Goal: 6% Project Information: Firms are expected to provide high quality fire alarm design and evaluation services for a variety of buildings in correctional facilities for the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision. Engineering assignments may include the following: Renovations and rehabilitation of existing structures and facilities. Evaluations, studies, and design services for upgrade of fire alarm systems, including control panels, fire alarm supervision panels, initiating and notification devices, and associated wiring and interconnections. Compliance with the latest building code including review of work done by others for compliance with applicable codes. A possible percentage of "urgent" projects that require expedited design schedules. Application of energy efficiency and sustainability in compliance with the Governor's Executive Order 22. The firm(s) must also be experienced in providing Commissioning services. Hazardous material investigation and design services for the remediation/ removal of such materials as part of the work of this contract. Possible construction management and/or construction inspection services as advisor to the owner. Services can be provided by the proposed design team including sub-consultants. This phase consists of the completion of the drawings and specifications in the C.S.I. format along with other bidding documents. This phase shall also include, but not be limited to, the following: a. All field investigation necessary to determine the existing conditions prior to design, if Schematic Phase is not required. The CONSULTANT shall provide all necessary permit forms as required to obtain a construction permit. b. Final detailed cost estimates broken down by trade. c. The Specifications shall be submitted in electronic format acceptable to D&C. The CONSULTANT shall inquire at the time of submission as to what software format is desired by D&C. During review of the interim 35% and 80% submissions, the CONSULTANT shall continue work on th assignment. Additional informal submissions will be determined through joint agreement of D&C and the CONSULTANT based on the needs of the specific project. Approval by D&C will be required before the documents are submitted for contract printing. Typically, a submission of five (5) copies of the contract documents will be required for field check and approval of this phase Design Time Period The required services shall be provided in accordance with approved schedules, to be called out by project specific Scopes of Work. Firms may be requested to provide on demand emergency design services.
