Any person contemplating a bid may request an interpretation of the Specifications or other Construction Document. Any such request, including requests for substitution of specified item(s), shall be submitted in writing to the Engineer a minimum of five (5) business days prior to the start of the Bid Acceptance Period. Requests submitted within five (5) business days of the Bid Acceptance Period will not be reviewed, nor will a response be issued. Any interpretation of the proposed documents will be made only as an addendum duly issued. Furthermore, Addenda will not be issued after the Bid Acceptance Period has begun. A copy of such addendum will be electronically delivered to all prospective bidders The Project consists of in situ rehabilitation of selected existing mains throughout the Greater Peoria area and ancillary work as shown or called for in the Construction Documents. Sewer mains range from 8-inch to 18-inch nominal diameter. Project also includes lateral connection repairs and limited sewer grouting for infiltration control. Each Proposal on the Work Shall Be Accompanied by a Bidder's Bond, Deposit of Cash or a Certified Check, Payable to the Order of the Greater Peoria Sanitary District, in an Amount Not Less Than Ten Percent (10%) of the Aggregate Amount of the Bid. All Certified Checks Must Be Drawn on Some Responsible Bank and Shall Be Made Payable to the Order of the Greater Peoria Sanitary District.
