Renovation of an educational facility in Chicago, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Scope of Work Provide Labor and Materials: Remove and Replace Two Air Handling Units Boys Locker Room (S-11) and Team Locker Room (S-10) Fan coil Replacement Questions Due Date: Oct 16th 2023, 2:30 PM CDT Provide Labor and Materials: Remove and Replace Two Air Handling Units Boys Locker Room (S-11) and Team Locker Room (S-10) Fan coil Replacement Fan Coil Replacement Demolition: 1. Disconnect power from existing (2) Fan Coil Unit (FC) serving each space. 2. Isolate existing steam and condensate piping serving each FC. Demo local piping back to first isolation valve within space. Demo to include all piping, valving, insulation, supports, etc. 3. Remove existing FC unit in its entirety, including associated hangers, controls, control panels, etc. Remove existing connections to supply, return and outside air ductwork. 4. All removed elements are to be removed at Contractor expense. New Work: 1. Provide new (2) FC Unit in place of removed unit. Unit to meet the attached specification and meet the following requirements: 1. 2000 CFM Supply air 2. ECM motor sized for 1.25" ESP 3. Full 100% economizer 4. Angled filter section with MERV 13 (min) filters 5. Steam Heating coil to provide 200 MBH (min) 6. Local digital controls for unit with remote mounted control panel, with BacNET compatible card for future BAS integration 2. New steam and condensate piping for FC Heating Coil, according to provided CPS Standard detail 3. Make new connections to existing Supply, Return and Outdoor air intake ductwork with new 4" canvas connections. Rework ductwork as needed based on size of new FC chosen by Contractor. 4. Add ductwork insulation to all fresh air intake ductwork from roof to unit connection. 5. Provide new local disconnect switch for unit and run new wiring from switch to new unit. 6. Replace steam control valves for existing reheat coils within system (BHC-10A and BHC-11A). Provide new local temperature sensors for each and connect to new unit controls. 7. Provide testing and balancing (air and steam) of new FCs and connected ductwork systems. 8. Replace existing intake hoods on roof above with new low profile gravity intake ventilators (Greenheck FGI or equal). Alternate Scope: 1. Add DX cooling coil @ 5 Ton to new FC units 2. Add new 5 Ton Condensing Unit (CU) on roof above on new equipment rails 3. Add refrigerant piping and control wiring from CU to FC thru approved pipe portal 4. Run new 208V/3P electrical power from panels along South wall of Main Gymnasium to new roof mounted CUs. Conduit to run up and along Gym ceiling and back down to low roof level. 5. Provide local disconnect switch for each CU 6. Provide condensate pump and 1" piping from each unit to local point of approved drainage within Locker Room space. 7. Provide 120V/1P power to each condensate pump
