The Work of this Contract generally consists of on call sewer service lateral lining as directed by the Town with priorities areas as shown in Appendices. Work shall include service lateral lining and closed-circuit television (CCTV) of sewer pipe, sewer main lining, and manhole lining on an on-call basis for a period of one (1) year with a contract execution date through December 31, 2024. At the sole discretion of the Town of Manchester-by-the-Sea, this Contract may be extended for up to two (2) additional one-year periods, for calendar years 2025 and 2026, at the same pricing, terms, and conditions. The Town of Manchester-by-theSea anticipate completing up to Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000) of the above described work annually, however, the type and amount of work shown in the bid form is not guaranteed and is provided for comparison of bids for a typical year of work. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount and in the form described in the Instructions to Bidders. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price will be required in the form described in the Instructions to Bidders. Bids for this Contract are subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 30, Section 39M (MGL C.30, S.39M). No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 30 days (Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded) after the actual date of the opening of the General Bids. Minimum wage rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Labor and Industries under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27H, as amended, apply to this project. If the bidder views/obtains the plans and specifications from a source other than those noted in this Advertisement for Bids, the accuracy and/or completeness of the bid documents cannot be guaranteed and the bidder assumes the responsibility for obtaining any additional information regarding the project, including addenda, that may be required for bidding. Failure to acknowledge addenda issued during bidding shall designate a bid as non-responsive The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept any bid, to waive any informality on bids received, to omit any item or items deemed advisable for the best interests of the Owner or to limit the extent of the Work to keep within the limits of available funds
