The County of Volusia, Public Works Department, Coastal Division is seeking a single, responsive and responsible bidder for the construction of Riverview Boulevard Beach Access Storm Repairs located at 700736 Riverview Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida. The lowest responsive and responsible bidder shall be responsible for all applicable permitting, labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services, and incidentals necessary to complete all Work required by the specifications and as shown on the drawings. Removal of temporary Trap Bags - Sand contained within can be used for either backfill or replacement of dune post project. Saw cutting and demo of any damaged sections of existing sea wall or cap in order to provide clean transition from old wall to new wall system. Installation of Sheet pile Sea Wall System per plans Backfill and compaction of earth behind seawall. Furnish and install new aluminum guardrail at seawall. Installation of Bahia grass sod around disturbed soil around building to seawall. Riverview Ave beach access's seawall was compromised during Hurricane Nicole. This project would replace the section of damaged seawall and return wall and would also stabilize the earth around the public restrooms building on the site and prevent any further damage or erosion due to storm surge.
