Renovation of a municipal facility in Johnstown, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Port of Johnstown is seeking Proposals from qualified parties that would enter into a CCDC - 14 Design Build Contract with the Port to design and construct upgrades to the receiving area at the Port of Johnstown as outlined in the Owners Statement of Requirements. Background: The Port of Johnstown, a Division of the Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal, currently has two receiving pits for receiving grain by truck and rail. Each receiving pit has a capacity of 450 MT/hr. In addition, the receiving area has the ability to load grain onto trucks and into railcars at a capacity of 400 MT/hr. The volume of grain received through this area is approximately 400,000 MT annually and is expected to increase in the future. Scope of Project: The objective of the project is to upgrade and expand the receiving area to improve the efficiency and capability of the area. There are four main components to the project which are broken down below. The items listed below are the minimum requirements for the upgrade. The concept drawings provide another perspective on these requirements. Project is to be a turn-key, ready to use complete solution when completed. Construction timeline will be from March 2024 with a completion date of June 30, 2024 in order to avoid interference with the harvest season at the Port.
