Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Tomball, Texas. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and road / highway.
Plans call to reconstruct and repurpose 1.7 miles of Main Street through the heart of downtown Tomball has received a green light. Other plans include replacing existing asphalt roadway with concrete, adding continuous sidewalks, elevating medians at crucial intersections to reduce conflict points, new traffic signals, and improving lighting and landscaping. An additional one acre of land will be added to the right-of-way. The Houston-Galveston Area Council awarded a $28.1 million federal grant to fund the bulk of the project. As of September 17, 2025, it is currently unknown to when a construction manager will be selected. A bid letting date is scheduled for the third quarter of 2028. Construction is slated to begin in January 2029.
