Renovation of a multi-residential development in Steubenville, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
The Housing Authority will receive bids from only qualified contractors with a valid State of Ohio Business Certificate and a minimum 5-years' experience in work required. Certified check or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid is required. 100% Performance Bond and 100% Labor and Materialmen's Payment Bond are required paid by the Contractor. Time Completion: Ninety (90) Consecutive Calendar Days. The successful bidder, upon his/her failure or refusal to execute and deliver the contract and bonds required within ten (10) days after he/she has received notice of the acceptance of his/her bid, shall forfeit to the Owner, as liquidated damages for such failure or refusal, the security deposited with his/her bid. Bidder understands that the Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding. The Bidder agrees that this bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. This project is covered by the Economic Opportunity Requirements of Section 3 of the HUD Act. Jefferson Metropolitan Housing Authority may consider informal any bid not prepared in accordance with the provisions of the advertisement and/or the specifications and may waive any informality or reject any and all bids.
