Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Laval, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 74,950-square-foot, two-story above grade, one-story below grade municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
Construction in a design/build method of a new municipal court that will be located along Boulevard du Souvenir, at the northeast end of the city hall parking area adjoining the Laval Senior Academy secondary school. The new facility will be able to accommodate around 400 persons daily. The new 4,470 m2 facility spread over two floors with a green roof will house all the necessary areas for its operation. In addition, an underground level of 2,470 m2 will mainly serve as parking and a place of temporary detention for detainees awaiting trial. TIMELINE: Based of the Functional and technical program prepared by the awarded professional consultants the owner has issued a two-stage design/build tender that is not followed in the report under CRM ID name Design and Build the Municipal Courthouse Project. The project will be followed in that report. Coverage of this report has been discontinued.
