Site work for a water / sewer project in Burton, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

As of November 30, 2023, project was awarded to Hoffmann Dozer Services, awarded amount is $230,906.50. Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: 1. +-2,220 LF 8" Water Line, Hydrants, Valves & Associated Appurtenances. Installation will be by both open cut and bore along Main and Railroad Streets. 2. Additive Alternate Bid for +-490 LF of 6" Water Line, Hydrants, Valves & Associated Appurtenances by open cut installation along Brazos Street A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid [for those contracts that exceed $100,000]. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Burton or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The City of Burton reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities and informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City of Burton for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder qualifications prior to the contract award.
