An abstract of the amounts of the base Bids and alternates (if any) will be made available to the Bidders after the Bids have been opened. Proposals shall be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "CASTLE PINES NORTH METROPOLITAN DISTRICT: CPN LAS IMPROVEMENTS". Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of twenty (20) days after said closing time. Relocation of the existing Liquid Ammonium Sulfate (LAS) metering system including two (2) LAS metering pump skids. The scope includes selective demolition of existing facilities, construction of new structural concrete equipment pads, containment and access curbing, wall and floor penetrations, floor surfacing, and installation of a new wall mounted jib crane with electric hoist, two (2) new LAS storage tanks, a new wash down station, a new chemical fill station, and a floor drain system. The Bidder to whom a contract is awarded will be required to furnish a "Performance and Payment" bond to the District. The "Performance and Payment" bond shall be furnished in conformity with the requirements of the Contract Documents. The District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or to accept that proposal or combination of proposals, if any, which in its sole and absolute judgment, will under all circumstances best serve the District's interest. No proposal will be accepted from any firm, person, or corporation, who is a defaulter as to surety or otherwise, or is deemed incompetent, irresponsible, or unreliable by the District Board of Directors. No bids will be considered which are received after the time indicated above, and any bids so received after the scheduled closing time shall be returned to the bidder unopened.
