Renovation of a laboratory facility in Blacksburg, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.
Estimated value is between $500,000 to $3,000,000. Wallace Hall Food Lab Renovation. The project is generally described as: Renovation of two existing food labs into one large food lab. Work includes demo of all current finishes and installation all new finishes. New mechanical work includes demo of existing make-up air unit on roof and installing new make-up air unit. Liquidated damages, or if no liquidated damages are specified in the Contract, actual damages caused by delayed performance or non-performance of the Contractor. For contracts with a value exceeding Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000), the Contractor shall deliver to the Owner or its designated representative, a Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Performance Bond, DGS-30-084 (CO-10) and a Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Labor and Material Payment Bond, DGS-30-088 (CO-10.1), each fully executed by the Contractor and one or more surety companies legally licensed to do business in Virginia and each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. The Deadline for Request for Information (RFI) shall be 2:00PM on Monday, November 9, 2023 Project The term used instead of the specific or proper assigned title of the entire undertaking which includes, but is not limited to, the Work and the A/E Services. Site: The location at which the Work is performed or is to be performed. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
