The Board of Education of the Adel Desoto Minburn Community School District, will receive sealed bids for construction of a new building ] consisting of a one, two, and three story building of masonry, precast and steel construction totaling approximately 172,000 square feet and associated site work at new site located in Adel, IA. Lump-sum bids will be received for: General Construction including Mechanical and Electrical Construction. Construction may begin on or after the 10th day of March, 2025. and following Owner receipt and approval of required Contracts, Bonds and Insurance. The Owner requires that Project be Substantially Complete on or before the 11th day of June, 2027. The bid security should be made payable to the ADM Community School District. The bid security must not contain any conditions either in the body or as an endorsement thereon. The bid security shall be forfeited to the District as damages in the event the successful bidder fails or refuses to enter into a contract within 10 days after the award of contract and post bond satisfactory to the District insuring the faithful fulfillment of the contract and the maintenance of said work, if required, pursuant to the provisions of this notice and the other contract documents. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Certificate of Insurance and Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds both in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price and in accordance with other requirements outlined in the Bid Documents. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities or irregularities allowed by law and to enter into such Contract or Contracts as may be deemed in the best interests of the ADM Community School District.
