Questions Deadline: 10/24/2023 02:00 PM (ET) SPRINKLER SYSTEM INSPECTION Perform visual evaluation, from floor level, of all accessible fire sprinkler system components (not including attics and crawl spaces and other concealed spaces), (annually) Inspect all fire system valves for leaks, damage and corrosion, (annually & quarterly) Exercise sprinkler system control valves, (annually & quarterly) Inspect sprinkler piping and all fittings for leaks, damage and corrosion, (annually) Inspect sprinkler pipe hangers for damage, (annually) Inspect all tamper and flow switches for acceptable electrical connection, damage and corrosion, (annually & quarterly) Open all inspectors test valves and confirm local and remote alarm operation, (annually & quarterly) Conduct a main drain test; compare results with previous test results, (annually & quarterly) Inspect fire sprinkler spare head box to ensure adequate stock and proper box mounting, (annually) Inspect fire system backflow prevention devices and check valves for leaks, damage and corrosion. If applicable, (annually & quarterly) Grease the stems on OS&Y valves, (annually) Perform a pressure test using a certified backflow test kit to test for proper operation, if applicable, (annually) Inspect Fire Department Hose Connections and caps, (annually & quarterly) Inspect all visible in racks sprinkler, as required, for head guards, damage and obstructions, (annually) Inspect pressure relief valves and pressure settings, if applicable, (annually & quarterly) Inspect priming water levels in the dry pipe valve(s). (annually) Inspect air/water gauges on the dry system, (annually) Place certification tags on all risers tested during each inspection, (annually & quarterly) Provide a written report indicating all deficiencies found during inspection and test(s). (annually & quarterly) FIRE PUMP TESTING AND INSPECTION Visual Inspection ltems:(annually & quarterly) Inspect and adjust packing flow rates if needed. Perform visual inspection of fire pump and all applicable components. Inspect driver and pump alignment. Churn Test:(annually & quarterly) Perform a test of the fire pump running at a no flow condition. Perform an automatic start-up of the fire pump using the fire pump sensing lines. Record the start-up and shutdown pressures of the jockey pump. Record shaft rpm,compare to design requirements. Record the start up pressure of the fire pum Record suction and discharge pressures 100% Rating Test:(annually) Perform test of the driver and pump operating at 100%of its designed flow rate. Record pump suction discharge pressures. Record shaft rpm. 150% Rating Test:(annually) Perform test of the driver and pump operating at 150% of its designed flow rate. Record pump suction and discharge pressures. Record shaft rpm. Post Test Procedures:( annually) Perform manual start up of the fire pump. Determine net pressures of pump, Compare 150% net pressure received during test to design specifications. Create and provide a chart plotting the pump performance. BACKFLOW INSPECTION Annual Domestic Backflow Inspection-Airplane Water-26 Annual Domestic Backflow Inspection-Small-8 Annual Domestic Backflow Inspection-Large-3 Annual Fire Line Backflow Inspection-5 SUPPRESION SYSTEM INSPECTION Semi-Annual Suppression System Service & Inspection at Fire Department Semi-Annual Suppression System Service & Inspection at Air Field Maintenance Semi-Annual FM-200 System Service & Inspection Computer Room-System 1 Semi-Annual FM-200 System Service & Inspection Computer Room System 2 1. The quarterly portion (Flow and Tamper Testing) of the Main Terminal, Parking Garage, Rent A Car and Chiller Plant, Vehicle Maintenance, ARFF, and Remote Loading Dock inspections as well as the annual fire pump flow test will be completed between the hours of twelve (12) midnight and six (6) am weekdays. All other inspections will be during normal business hours. 2. The FM-200 Suppression inspection locations: ARFF, Airfield Maintenance, and 3rd Floor Data rooms one (1) and two (2).
