Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in El Paso, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a 38,400-square-foot municipal facility; and warehouse / distribution facility.

As of December 7, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. SCOPE OF WORK: Project consists of a complex with 3 new construction facilities consisting of a 29,140 square foot administration building, 11,388 square foot maintenance building (Alternate No. 1), and 3,010 square foot PEMB apparatus support building (Alternate No. 2). The administration facility is classified as an occupancy type B, the construction type is Type II-B. The maintenance facility is classified as an occupancy type S-1, the construction type is Type II-B. The apparatus support building classified as an occupancy type U, the construction type is Type II-B. The site work to include earthwork, paving, sidewalks, parking, site utilities, storm drainage, and landscaping. Building construction to include stiffened slab on grade, structural steel framing, CMU framing, brick & stone masonry, metal siding, light guage framing & CMU interior partitions, modified bituminous membrane roof, storefront windows & entry doors, hollow metal & wood doors, hardware, acoustical tile & gypsum board ceilings, flooring, painting, millwork, fire suppression, mechanical systems, plumbing systems, and electrical systems. Sealed bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond from a reliable surety company in an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the total maximum bid price payable without recourse to the El Paso County Emergency Service District No. 1, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and execute Performance Bond within ten (10) days after notice of award of contract to him. Bidder must agree also to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of $500.00 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter that the work has not reached Substantial Completion as hereinafter provided in the General Conditions.
