The City of Miramichi will be accepting bids for the building demolition, removal and site remediation for 305 Wellington Street, Miramichi, NB, PID # 40201121. The building located on this property is to be completely torn down, removal of concrete walls and footings (if any), all debris hauled away and the properties back filled to ground level with clean fill and ensure that there are no open holes. It is also the responsibility of the proponent to ensure that the water and sewer lines are located and properly capped. Project to be completed as soon as possible following the award of the Invited Bid but must be completed before November 30th, 2023. The City is demolishing said buildings pursuant to authority granted under By-Law No. 103 of the City of Miramichi, and in accordance with the Local Governance Act, R.S.N.B. The City reserves the right to award in its best interest. Invited bids with the lowest price or any need not necessarily be accepted. The City of Miramichi reserves the right to cancel this tender and not award any contract in furtherance thereof in the following circumstances: (1) Prior to the close of the invited bid, for any reason deemed necessary by the City of Miramichi; (2) After the close of the invited bid, if there are no compliant bids, or if all bids received contain a bid price in excess of the budget established for the project, or if the property owner initiates the demolition themselves.
