Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Northampton, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Broad Brook Greenway Parking Lot at 196 Cooke Ave. The project consists of construction of an asphalt parking lot and water, sewer, and electrical service connections for a future housing project, and the construction of a stormwater quality basin. This project generally consists of the construction of a bituminous asphalt parking lot with curbs, the installation of water and sewer service utilities, construction of a stormwater management basin, the relocation of trail signage, the installation of bicycle racks, and associated site work. Work pursuant to this Request for Proposals shall be ready and substantially complete on or before June 15, 2024. The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all required permits and approvals, including but not limited to a Northampton Trench Permit. The costs for such permits shall be waived for all City of Northampton issued permits. The Contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, tools, equipment, machinery, and other equipment required to properly execute and complete the work according to plans and specifications submitted. The property at 196 Cooke Ave is owned by the City and will be made available "as is" for staging and storage of materials. Any required clearing and removal from the site of materials not incorporated into the proposed work shall be paid for by the contractor. Completion of all City of Northampton permits. Installation and maintenance of erosion control measures. Removal of gravel surfacing. Installation of bituminous parking lot with bituminous curb. Installation of gravel drive. Installation of sanitary service. Installation of a sanitary manhole. Installation of a water service. Installation of a fire hydrant and valving. Installation of concrete transformer pad and electrical conduit. Installation of bituminous walk. All repairs and corrective work required by applicable warranties.
