This Public Works Project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, services, supervision, and incidentals necessary for the installation of mini high platforms at 13 Caltrain Stations and wheel stops at Hillsdale Station Parking lot. The base bid will be for the mini high platforms at Bay Shore, Burlingame, Hayward Park, Belmont, California Avenue, San Antonio, Lawrence, and Tamien Stations and the wheel stops for the Hillsdale Station. Bid Option 1 is for the mini high platforms at Capitol, Blossom Hill, Morgan Hill, San Martin, and Gilroy Stations. Intent to Bid Due Date: Nov 27th 2023, 2:00 PM PST Question Deadline 11/07/2023 at 2:00 PM PT , All questions prior to award of the Contract shall be directed to the attention of the undersigned Procurement Administrator in the Contracts & Procurement Department via the Portal. The work is more fully described in the Contract Documents. The Engineer's estimate for this Project is between $2 Million to $2.3 Million. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of a Bidder's Bond in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the Grand Total Bid Price. The Bid Guaranty will be retained and applied to any and all damages sustained by the Agency in the event that the Successful Bidder fails or refuses to enter into the Contract awarded to it or furnish all required bonds and Certificates of Insurance. The Agency reserves the right to reject any and all Bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any Bid or in the bidding procedure. The Agency specifically reserves the right to not award the Contract after the Bid Opening. LICENSE REQUIREMENTS Bidders and their proposed subcontractors shall hold such licenses as may be required by the laws of the State of California for the performance of the work specified in the Contract Documents. Bidders bidding as the prime Contractor shall possess a valid California State Contractor's License, Class A (General Engineering) at the time of Contract award and throughout the contract term. The Agency has established a contract-specific DBE utilization goal of thirteen percent (13%) for this Contract. Award of the Contract will be based, in part, on the Bidders' proposed utilization of DBEs. Bids will be examined and reported to the Agency's Board of Directors within one hundred twenty (120) days of the Bid Opening. Except as permitted by applicable law, no Bidder may withdraw its Bid for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days after the date of Bid Opening. Each Bidder will be notified of any award of the Contract by the Agency. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
