Reference number : 1774012 Deadline for receiving complaints: 2023-11-06 Electronically transmitted submission accepted: No Snow Removal From Fire Hydrants for the Years 2024 - 2025 plus one option year There are approximately 1,493 fountains spread across the territory of the city of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. For each of the fire hydrants, the contractor must clear snow from a path starting from the street with a minimum width of 1 meter between the street and the fire hydrant. In addition, each side of the hydrant must be cleared of snow to a minimum width of 1 meter up to 1 meter behind the hydrant. Snow removal from other parts of the terminal must be done as close to it as possible. In addition, the contractor must clear snow as close to the ground as possible without damaging grassy or other surfaces. No loading of snow is required, the snow can be pushed onto the land or along the street. No manual snow removal is required during normal operations. If the city manager judges that it is necessary to carry out manual snow removal for certain fire hydrants, this work will be paid according to the hourly rate in item #4 of the submission form.
