Demolition of three (3) canopies on these lots. [Building numbers presented on ALP]; Cutting/repair/patching of existing service, buildings, and site improvements to remain, and the restoration of all site areas affected by demolition and defined within the contract limits; Coordination and execution of all demolition/restoration activities including: a) Removal and legal disposal of hazardous material; b) Salvaging items for reuse or storage by Owner; c) Disconnecting, capping, sealing, abandoning in-place, removing or relocation of all public utilities including gas, electric, sewer, storm water, and communications; and d) Conformance and implementation of all requirements dictated by federal, state and local authorities having jurisdiction. The Owner, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Regulations, notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid or bid guaranty, to reject any or all bids, to award or refrain from awarding a contract for the work, and to negotiate with the apparent qualified responsible bidder to such extent as may be beneficial to the Owner Bidders shall provide a Proposal Bond in an amount not less than 5% of the total main bid amount as specified. Only the Proposal Bond form, included with these documents, or as published by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) is acceptable The successful bidder shall provide Payment and Performance Bonds by a surety company duly authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The Payment and Performance bonds furnished by the successful bidder must be executed by the owner, a general partner or, if a corporation, the secretary's signature and the seal of the corporation must be affixed. These bonds must remain in effect for the length of the agreement. The agent of the surety must exhibit certificate or license showing legal rights of the surety to do business in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
