Design and prepare specifications for a 10-acre facility that will include a community park with trails, playground equipment, a recycle facility, restrooms, picnic shelters and parking lots. Providers will help Montgomery County fulfill State and Federal Community Development Block Grant statutory responsibilities. Architectural services must be performed in compliance with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Providers will be bound to specific terms and conditions found in the general terms and conditions. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all of the items in the Response, and to award the contract in whole or in part and/or negotiate any or all items with individual Respondents if it is deemed in the County's best interests. INSURANCE: County may request Respondent to provide, before award, Certificates of Insurance relating to the following categories of insurance, if required by law: a) Workers' Compensation b) Comprehensive General Liability Insurance c) Automobile Liability Insurance d) Professional Liability Violation; liability for unpaid wages; liquidated damages. In the event of any violation of the clause set forth in paragraph (1) of this section the contractor and any subcontractor responsible therefor shall be liable for the unpaid wages. In addition, such contractor and subcontractor shall be liable to the United States (in the case of work done under contract for the District of Columbia or a territory, to such District or to such territory), for liquidated damages. Such liquidated damages shall be computed with respect to each individual laborer or mechanic, including watchmen and guards, employed in violation of the clause set forth in paragraph (1) of this section, in the sum of $27 for each calendar day on which such individual was required or permitted to work in excess of the standard workweek of forty hours without payment of the overtime wages required by the clause set forth in paragraph (1) of this section.
