Demolition and site work for a mixed-use development in Grantsville, Utah. Completed plans call for the demolition of a swimming pool; and for site work for a swimming pool.
Questions must be submitted through the Utah State Purchasing U3P Website, and are due no later than Thursday, November 2, 2023 @ 5PM. County's Response to Questions November 3, 2023 INTRODUCTION: Tooele County ("County") is requesting proposals from qualified vendors to provide demolition of the Aquatics Center at the Deseret Peak Complex ("DPC"), located at 2930 UT-112, in Grantsville, UT 84029. SCOPE OF WORK: I. Mandatory Requirements This proposal will have two schedules. One for the demolition of the pool and one for the removal of the debris. Tooele County reserves the right to award both or just one schedule. Successful offeror will be responsible for the following: SCHEDULE 1 - Demolition Be responsible for the demolition of the designated area in the plans, including all structures, slides, toys, lights, diving boards, pipes, etc. that are remaining and leaving a clean site for reconstruction. All out-buildings and mechanical rooms will NOT be demolished. Certain feed lines, utility services will remain so that the new pool can be connected. Blue stake and find all utilities. Responsible for securing permits through Tooele County and Grantsville City. SCHEDULE 2 - Hauling Safe disposal of all demolition materials in accordance with local and state regulations. Strict compliance and adherence with all safety and other regulations. OVERALL Provide a guaranteed maximum price for all work outlined in the construction documents. Any and all sub-contractors are to provide all labor, tools, equipment, permits, engineering, plans, and any and all other costs necessary to the design, layout, and construction. Offeror shall be responsible to ensure that all personnel proposed under this RFP are qualified through, training, experience, and appropriate certification for the tasks assigned and shall have a working knowledge of the task to be performed. Each proposal must include - Company name, website (if applicable), and name, email, and phone number of project manager. Statement of qualifications that includes professional credentials, experience, and overall qualifications in providing the Project Scope stated in this Request for Proposal ("RFP"). Including: Copy of current contractor's license - must be a licensed general contractor in the state of Utah. Certificate of liability insurance naming Tooele County as a named insured. Certificate of workers compensation insurance Contractor and sub-contractors must provide certification that they are registered and participating in the status verification system required under Utah Statute 63G-11-103. Contractor shall state in writing, proposed specifications and warranty and construction workmanship warranty with bid. Three (3) examples of projects (with references) which demonstrate qualifications for providing the Project Scope stated in this RFP. A list of any subconsultants or subcontractors proposed to be included in work outlined in the Project Scope. Provide a description of their previous work history. Any current and applicable certifications of the staff to be assigned to this project. Tooele County shall not be obligated to respond to any proposal submitted, nor shall it be legally bound in any manner whatsoever by the receipt of a proposal. Tooele County reserves the right to extend or cancel all scheduled proposal due dates. Notice of such extensions or cancellations shall be sent via addendum to this RFP.
