Renovation of a medical facility in Farmington, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
This project is located at the UConn Musculoskeletal Institute, 120 Dowling Way, Farmington, CT and involves the removal and installation of an air cooled chiller on the MSI building roof (Building N), replacement of the chilled glycol pumps in the ceiling below and associated VFDs, and replacement of the glycol feed system in the 1st Floor Mechanical Room. Modifications to the controls are anticipated to integrate the replaced equipment as are modifications to the power feeds to serve the replaced equipment. Structural modifications to accommodate the new chiller are needed. A plan to replace the chiller over a set schedule of days should be anticipated. Similarly, a plan to replace the system pumps one at a time to maintain one active should be anticipated. All shutdowns and downtime needs to be carefully coordinated with UHC staff. The chiller has been pre-purchased by UHC. The contractor shall assume delivery and installation of the chiller.
