Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Jackson, Michigan. Conceptual plans call for site work for a educational facility; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The Consultant will be expected to provide Road Safety Audit (RSA) services for the two school zones along with their plans to expand the campus and address traffic congession. In Napoleon, three schools along West Avenue face traffic congestion and safety concerns during student drop-off and pick-up times, with parked cars hindering visibility and occasional risky student crossings despite the presence of flashing LED crosswalk signs. In the Western School District, the main student drop-off area is safely situated on the school property, but highspeed limits on Dearing Road and West Michigan Avenue pose potential crash risks. A bond millage for a new Western Elementary School has recently been approved and will increase traffic, requiring safety improvements at the Dearing and West Michigan intersection. Anticipated Service Start Date: November 23, 2023 Anticipated Service Completion Date: January 23, 2023 The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
