The City of Wheaton is soliciting competitive bids for Cadillac Wakeman Flood Improvements. The project includes installation of approximately 2,250' of 48" RCP storm sewer, 651' of 11' x 5' concrete box culvert, 113' of 12" RCP storm sewer, pavement patching and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project. This project will be using a federal grant. Prevailing Wages: All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act Bid Bond: A Bid Bond/Bid Deposit of 10% of the full contract price is required with your bid submittal. Payment Bond: The successful Bidder shall provide an original Payment Bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the full amount of the award. Performance Bond: The successful Bidder shall provide an original Performance Bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the full amount of the award. Maintenance Bond: The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Maintenance Bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the final contract price for the faithful performance of the Bidder's obligation to maintain and keep in good repair, the work herein contracted to be done and performed for one (1) year from the date of final acceptance by the City. An original maintenance bond shall be submitted to the Project Manager with the final invoice. The cost of said bonds shall be included in the total bid amount. CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION Any bid material that is to be considered as proprietary or confidential in nature must be clearly marked as such by the vendor.
