Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Foster, Rhode Island. Working plans call for the construction of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
**As of January 31, 2024 bids received are still under advisement by the Town. This project will be rebid with revised drawings and specifications. As of this time it is unknown when project will rebid. Police Station Construction Site Directions: 110 Danielson Pike (Route 6) Foster, RI 02825 The Town of Foster will receive proposals for construction and project management services to begin work on a new police station building. This project is sponsored by the Town of Foster (Town), Foster Police Department and bondholders through departmental funding and a municipal bond which was entered for the project. Funds for the project are made available by the Town of Foster, Foster Police Department and the bond. The Town will select the construction/project management company for the project. All work will be done in accordance with all applicable local, state and federal laws and codes. No other funds are available at this time. The Foster Police Department is currently working in the Aylesworth House located at 182 Howard Hill Road. This structure is no longer an adequate building for a Police Department. The location of the new station is planned to be roughly 2 miles north of the current station, on the major thoroughfare in the Town. The Town will engage a construction/project management company to complete the work specified in the contract documents. The company will communicate periodically with the Police Department and Building Department as needed. The Town reserves the right to reject all firms, decline to proceed with selection of any candidates, to request additional information, and to make inquiries as may be necessary to verify qualifications. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
