George H. Kaufman Community Park Playground Improvement Project. The work will include, but is not limited to, earthwork, site preparation, macadam trails, macadam accessible parking areas, finished grading and seeding, and the implementation and maintenance of erosion and sediment pollution control measures. A certified check or Bid Bond payable to or naming as Obligee Jonestown Borough in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Bid must be submitted with the Bid as a guarantee that in the case the Contract is awarded the successful Bidder will execute the Contract and furnish all Bonds as may be required. The Bid for the Work must be sealed in an envelope and addressed to: Jonestown Borough 295 South Mill Street P.O. Box 446 Jonestown, PA 17038 The Bid envelope must be sealed and clearly marked, "Bid for George H. Kaufman Community Park Playground Improvement Project," and must also bear the name and address of the Bidder. Two copies of the Bids shall be provided, one (1) original and one (1) copy. This contract is a project constituting public works and is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of 1961, P.L. 987, as amended and supplemented, and appropriate minimum wage rates must be paid by the contractor for performance of all necessary work. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Jonestown Borough Council reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, to waive any informality or bidding irregularities, to delete or reduce any Bid Item, and to award the Contract as may be deemed by Jonestown Borough Council to be in their best interest. No Bidder may withdraw his or her Bid within sixty (60) days after the actual opening thereof.
