Site work for a water / sewer project in Hatch, New Mexico. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of January 17, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The Project includes the following Work: The Project consists of the installation of 10-in PVC transmission and 8-in PVC distribution waterlines including appurtenances within the public right-of-way with additive alternates. The primary method of installation shall be open trench method and two predetermined sections shall be installed via jack and bore method utilizing 20-in Steel Casing and 18-in Steel Casing . Additional installation of 6-in PVC, 4-in PVC, and 2-in steel pipe by open trench method to tie-in to the existing water line. The project also includes the installation of new fire hydrants, removal and salvaging of an existing fire hydrant, and installation of water service lines, connections to the existing system, and site work to include roadway asphalt removal and replacement, concrete sidewalk removal and replacement, and driveway removal and replacement. It is the Contractor's responsibility to obtain all amendments/addenda from the website prior to the bid opening. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. This project is funded through the Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund (DWSRLF) with federal funds provided by the Environmental Protection Agency. DWSRLF requirements and provision, including American Iron and Steel and Davis-Bacon must be met by the Bidder and all Subcontractors. This project is wholly or partially funded with United States Environmental Protection Agency funds, and therefore must comply with all federal cross cutter requirements. Neither the United States nor its department's agencies or employees is or will be party to this invitation for bids or any resulting contract. This procurement will be subject to all applicable federal regulations including the Davis Bacon Act requirements. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246, as amended. To ensure that Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) have the opportunity to compete for procurements funded by EPA financial assistance, all Bidders shall make the six good faith efforts. The bidder must make a good faith effort to solicit and hire Disadvantaged Business subcontractors and suppliers to meet the goals outlined in EPA XP-215. A good faith effort requires that the Contractor: 1) Complete the affirmative steps outlined in XP-215,2) Submit XP-215 with the bid proposal, 3) Submit with the bid proposal proof that affirmative steps have been taken and this should include copies of advertisements and letters of solicitation. A Bid Proposal that omits XP-215 or does not support that a good faith effort was made will be considered nonresponsive and the Bid Proposal rejected. Instructions to Bidders.
