Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Woodbine, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

Question Deadline 11/13/2023 Questions regarding this bid may be directed in writing to the Purchasing Officer, Kelsey Kelley at bids@co.camden.ga.us. Answered by November 16th, 2023. Camden County Board of Commissioners is soliciting proposals for renovations of park structures at 2 locations with 3 options: Howard Peeples Park located at 656 N. Gross Rd., Kingsland, GA, 31548 and also Satilla River Waterfront Park located at East 1st Street, Woodbine, GA 31569. Option 1: The scope of work includes: The demolition and removal of the current roofing system down to the decking at Howard Peeples Park, removal of necessary panels of the metal roof at Satilla River Waterfront Park, removal of any damaged decking, replacement of metal roofing system, and removal of demolition material offsite. Installation of the following at Howard Peeples Park: new exposed fastener metal roofing including ridge cap, and new substrate/decking as required. Installation of the following at Satilla River Waterfront Park: new substrate/decking as required, replacement of the current metal roof panels, new flashing around vents, sealant applied to entire roofing system, paint roofing system red, seal/paint underside of decking system, and apply sealant and paint to match on the bathroom structure metal roof. The contractor will furnish the owner with a material and labor warranty for this project, clean up area, haul trash and debris from the job sites. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, and materials required to complete this project. Option 2: The scope of work includes: The demolition and removal of the current roofing system down to the decking at Howard Peeples Park, removal of the current roofing system down to the decking at Satilla River Waterfront Park, removal of any damaged decking, replacement of metal roofing system, and removal of demolition material offsite. Installation of the following at Howard Peeples Park and Satilla River Waterfront Park: new exposed fastener metal roofing including ridge cap, and new substrate/decking as required, seal/paint underside of decking system, metal roof sealant and paint to match pavilions on the bathroom structure metal roof. The contractor will furnish the owner with a material and labor warranty for this project, clean up area, haul trash and debrisfrom the job sites. Contractorshall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, and materialsrequired to complete this project. Option 3: At each pavilion location, demolition of the pavilion structure to the slab, repair as necessary and seal slab, construct a new open-air pavilion of same size and shape as original pavilion, paint to match other existing structures, install new metal roofing systems, new vents as required, flashing around vents, paint/seal underside of pavilion decking at Satilla River Waterfront Park, and removal of demolition material offsite. At Howard Peeples Park Pavilion 1, install new LED lighting fixtures and associated electrical components. At the Satilla River Waterfront Park, each pavilion will require new electrical components to include new LED lighting fixtures and GFCI electrical outlets with water-resistant covers and associated electrical components. The contractor will furnish the owner with a material and labor warranty for this project, clean up area, haul trash and debris from the job sites. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, and materials required to complete this project. At Howard Peeples Park there are three (3) pavilions that require roof replacements. Current roofing systems are shingled roof over plywood. In each pavilion there are several areas requiring new decking. It is the contractor's responsibility to tour the pavilions for verification of decking replacement number for quote. The metal roof to be installed will match, as close as reasonably achievable, the blue metal roof installed on the bathroom facility. At Satilla River Waterfront Park there are three (3) pavilions that require decking replacements and/or roof replacements and one (1) bathroom structure that is receiving metal roof sealant and paint. This location must be completed before March 2024. For this location there are two options that Camden County would like quoted, reuse of the current metal roof panels with sealant and paint or replacement of the entire metal roofing system. Current roofing system is a metal roof over plywood decking. It is the contractor's responsibility to tour the pavilions for verification of decking replacement number and quote. Option 1, the metal roof is to be removed as needed to replace damaged decking and the metal roof is to be reinstalled. The metal roof is to be sealed with a paintable sealant, and painted red. Option 2, the current metal roofing system is to be removed and replaced with a new metal roof, color red. On the underside of the roof, a light grey/muted white, water-resistant sealant or paint will be applied to extend the life of the decking from excessive steam produced during the Crawfish Festival crawfish boil, this will apply to all options Bids may be withdrawn by written request only if the request is received prior to the time and date set for the opening bids. Negligence on the part of the bidder in preparing their bid confers no right of withdrawal or modification of their bid after bid has been opened. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the time and date of opening of bids. Camden County reserves the exclusive right to determine which bidder should be awarded the Contract. Camden County also reserves the right to waive any irregularity or informality in a bid, and accept or reject any item or combination of items, when to do so would benefit Camden County. Also, Camden County may reject bids that do not contain all elements and information requested. Camden County will not be liable for any cost/losses incurred by bidders throughout this process. Camden County does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, national origin, age, or disability. The bidder will indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Camden County from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, and expenses including, but not limited to, fees and charges of attorneys and court and arbitration costs, arising out of or resulting from the negligent acts, negligent omissions, willful misconduct, or reckless misconduct of the bidder or anyone for whom the bidder is responsible. All questions shall be received by November 13th, 2023 and answered by November 16th, 2023. Successful supplier will be required to meet insurance requirements, submit a one hundred percent (100%) performance bond and a one hundred percent (100%) payment bond.
