**As of December 1st, 2023, there is no response received. No definite date for the rebid.** The County will administer a fund for the building of ramps or minor home repairs at the homes of seniors in Steuben County to enable seniors to live more independently and remain in their own residences. Agent understands that the fund will have limited dollars available and that the program ends for the year when the existing fund is depleted. When Agent receives a request to construct a ramp or other home modifications from a consumer, Agent will contact the Steuben County Office for the Aging (OFA) to provide a written estimate of needed materials. If there are sufficient funds available, OFA will give approval to purchase the necessary materials. Once all work is completed, Agent will submit a bill with appropriate receipts or other documentation proving expenses to OFA for reimbursement of the materials purchased. Agent agrees that all work performed under this Agreement will be performed by volunteers. In no event, shall County reimburse Agent for labor costs. All ramp builds, regardless of the source of the referral to the Agent, require prior SCOFA authorization to build. Agent shall be solely responsible to ensure that ramps and other home modifications are safely constructed and meet all applicable building codes. Agent agrees that any contributions received for the construction of ramps or home modifications will be sent to OFA for deposit into the fund to enable the construction of additional ramps or modifications. Steuben County reserves as its right; the right to accept or reject any and all proposals (or separable portions thereof), the right to waive irregularities and technicalities, and the right to request resubmission. Award of contract will be made following a review of the proposal by County staff as deemed appropriate, and approval will be made by a designated committee.
