Malcomson Road Utility District Water Plant No.1 and No.2 located at 15014 Lakewood Forest Dr, Houston, Texas 77070 and 15920 Timber Grove Court, Tomball, Texas 77377, respectively. In general, this work consists of: 1. Surface preparation and coating of the interior and exterior surfaces of the 200,000-gallon Ground Storage Tank No.1 and corresponding exterior tank appurtenances, including abrasive blasting to near-white metal cleanliness. 2. Surface preparation and coating of the interior and exterior surfaces of the 470,000-gallon Ground Storage Tank No. 2 and corresponding exterior tank appurtenances, including abrasive blasting to near-white metal cleanliness. 3. Miscellaneous items for the 200,000-gallon Ground Storage Tank No. 1, including removal and replacement of nuts and bolts for manways, air vent screens, signage, and foundation sealant around the base of the ground storage tank prior to recoating, surface preparation and coating of interior and exterior ladders, roof handrails, roof hatches, all aboveground yard piping and nuts and bolts for manways, and disinfection. 4. Miscellaneous items for the 470,000-gallon Ground Storage Tank No. 2, including removal and replacement of nuts and bolts for manways, air vent screens, signage, and foundation sealant around the base of the ground storage tank prior to recoating, surface preparation and coating of interior and exterior ladders, roof handrails, roof hatches, all aboveground yard piping and nuts and bolts for manways, and disinfection. 5. Surface preparation and coating of the interior and exterior surfaces of the 15,000-gallon Hydropneumatic Tank No.1 , including two site glass cabinets, manways, tanks support saddles, and abrasive blasting to near-white metal cleanliness 6. Surface preparation and coating of the interior and exterior surfaces of the 15,000-gallon Hydropneumatic Tank No.2, including two site glass cabinets, manways, tanks support saddles, and abrasive blasting to near-white metal cleanliness. 7. Miscellaneous Items for the two 15,000-gallon Hydropneumatic Tanks, including removal and replacement of nuts and bolts for manways, site glass door hinges and pins for two site glass cabinets, and surface preparation and coating of all aboveground yard piping and nuts and bolts for manways and site glass door hinges and pins for two site glass cabinets, and disinfection. 8. Surface preparation and coating of all existing booster pumps, booster pump piping, and pipe stands at Water Plant No. 2 Including all piping, valves, and related appurtenances within the booster pump building. 9. Prior to abrasive blasting, the Contractor shall install a temporary sound wall around Water Plant No. 1. to keep construction noises to a minimum. 10. Steel patches welded over damaged areas due to blasting. 11. Disinfection, sodding of disturbed areas, site restoration, and site cleanup. It is the responsibility of the contractor bidding the project to ensure the accuracy of the reproduction of all bid documents and construction drawings.
