Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Covington, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The Kenton County Fiscal Court, herein referred to as "County" is requesting proposals for the removal and replacement of fencing at Lincoln Ridge Park and Middleton-Mills Road Park. Lincoln Ridge Park is located at 420 Independence Station Road, Independence, KY 41051 with Middleton-Mills Road Park located at 3415 Mills Road, Covington, KY 41015. Proposals should be prepared according to the submittal requirements below and should provide all necessary information that bidder considers pertinent to demonstrate qualifications for the specifications listed herein. Select details for the scope of work was provided through a quote by R&M Fence to determine financial feasibility of project. Contractor shall furnish and install: Middleton Mills Road Park - Remove and dispose 1,150 lineal feet of existing split rail fence - Furnish and install 1,585 lineal feet of 3 Rail White Vinyl Ranch Rail Plank Fence Lincoln Ridge Park - Remove and dispose 1,211 lineal feet of existing split rail fence - Furnish and install 1,211 lineal feet of 3 Rail White Vinyl Ranch Rail Plank Fence - All posts to be 5" sq. and set in concrete - Posts caps to be external flat pyramid - Planks to be 1 1/2 " x 5 1/2 - All material to be white in color - County should approve all materials to be used. Attached maps indicate area of work to be completed Kenton County will evaluate proposals based on prices, vendor's qualifications, and additional factors deemed relevant. The County retains the right to refuse any and all proposals. The Fiscal Court reserves the right to clarify all information submitted in response to this RFP and resolve any inconsistencies in the bids. All parties must possess the necessary certificates of insurance, performance bond, and the various permits and licenses required by federal, state and/or local laws to engage in these services in the Commonwealth of Kentucky as defined herein. A Bid Bond amounting to five (5%) percent of the proposed bid/proposal price must be provided with the response. The Bid Bond may be in the form of a surety bond, cashier check or other form of surety satisfactory to the county attorney. If the contract is awarded to the bonded bidder, the bidder will accept the contract as bid, or else the surety will pay the Fiscal Court a specific amount because of default on part of the bidder. A Performance Surety Bond amounting to one hundred (100%) percent of the Contract price must be provided prior to execution of the contract assuring Kenton County that the project will be pursued with due diligence and completed according to the plans and specifications. This requirement may also be met by a letter of credit. All questions regarding this bid shall be directed in writing to the Purchasing Manager, Holly Hill by email: holly.hill@kentoncounty.org. The Kenton County Fiscal Court reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive formalities, and to negotiate with the apparent qualified offeror to such an extent as may be determined by the Fiscal Court.
