Construction Start date: 5/1/2024 End date: 9/2/2024 : This project is located at the Town of Avon Recreation Center in Avon, Colorado at 90 Lake Street, directly across from Nottingham Park. The Design-Build Contractor (DBC) shall perform the work of this Request for Qualification (RFQ) as described in the following sections. All Architect-Engineer (A-E) Services required in this RFQ shall be performed by licensed Architects and Engineers registered in the State of Colorado. The Town of Avon (TOA) is seeking a Design-Build Contractor to complete the design and construction services required for the replacement of the indoor pool concrete deck and associated pool infrastructure improvements. The ideal team will have experience in indoor pool design and remodels. The project will be conducted as a Progressive Design Build. The general overview of the process is outlined in Appendix A. The goals of the progressive design-build process are to enhance collaboration, flexibility, and efficiency in project delivery. By bringing together designers and builders early in the process, it aims to foster open communication and cooperation, leading to innovative solutions and a better understanding of project goals. The iterative nature of design allows for continuous refinement, ensuring that the final product aligns closely with the town stated goal. Additionally, the concurrent design and construction activities expedite project timelines, potentially reducing overall costs. Further infomation is located in the RFQ document. A pre proposal will be held on 11/6/2023 at 1:00pm at the recreation center.
