2023/11/06 11:59:00 PM CST The Contractor shall collect residential recyclables placed in Recycling Containers from all participating dwelling units and school facilities in the RM as shown in Appendix A twenty-five (25) times per year, and shall furnish all materials, personnel and equipment required to provide all the services set out in the scope of work. The Contractor shall familiarize themselves with all the collection areas as shown in Appendix A. Approximately 184 tonnes of recyclables are collected annually from 999 residences. The Contractor must also supply and empty a recycling trailer at Delta Beach that is capable of holding one tonne of mixed recycling. The trailer shall be emptied weekly from Victoria Day to Thanksgiving, and every second week from Thanksgiving to Victoria Day. The Contractor shall weigh and account for all recyclables picked up and delivered to the recycling material recovery facility known as Portage & District Recycling Inc. (PDRI), located at 700 Phillips Street between the hours of 7:00 am and 2:30 pm exclusive of weekends and holidays. The Contractor agrees to maintain public liability and property damage insurance in respect of motor vehicles, tractors, power shovels and other power and mechanical equipment used by the Contractor, in the performance of the work, insuring the RM and the Contractor against claims for damages or injury to persons or property at or above the following figures:
Public Liability:
$2,000,000.00 for death of or injury to one person from any one accident.
Property Damage:
$2,000,000.00 for damage to property arising from any one accident and the Contractor provide proof of such insurance to the Manager. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
