As of November 21, 2024, per owner, project is currently in the beginning of design. Once design is completed, they will then be able to go out for construction bids, they are still a long way out on any construction start. Design team has been identified. PURPOSE OF THIS REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS The purpose of the Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals to establish a contract through competitive negotiations for the procurement of design for five (5) park amenities within the Southwest Activity Node (SWAN) Park facility. The five amenities are: creation of trailheads to existing trails within the park, water play feature, community garden, dog park and multi-sport recreation field(s). BACKGROUND INFORMATION The Parks and Open Space Division is moving forward with the expansion of the Southwest Activity Node (SWAN) Park facility. The park is located in the southwest portion of the City of Santa Fe and the expansion entails the design and future installation of five (5) new park amenities. These amenities were selected through an extensive public outreach effort which concluded in 2022. The five amenities (trailheads, water play feature, community garden, dog park and multisport field) will be located within the existing park boundaries. An access road and utility extension to serve these new amenities will be designed through a separate contract and will be coordinated with the requirements and locations for the five amenities in this RFP. SCOPE OF PROCUREMENT The successful respondent will be responsible for the design and creation of all design documents, including but not limited to construction drawings and specifications, that meet the "purpose" stated above. This scope is further delineated in Section IV.A ("DETAILED SCOPE OF WORK") below. The resulting contract will be a single award. This procurement will result in a contractual agreement between two parties; the procurement may ONLY be used by those two parties exclusively.
