The project is expected to be awarded on February 05, 2024.** Summary of Work: Construct a Multi-Use Path East and other pedestrian improvements along Salem Parkway involving grading, drainage, paving, structure, and curb & gutter, sidewalks, and retaining walls. The project timeline is 365 calendar days with LDs of $1,500/day. Technical questions relating to the bidding documents shall be submitted in writing to Will Cave at: williamgc@cityofws.org. The End of Question Period is 5:00 pm, November 28, 2023. This contract is partially federally funded and NCDOT has oversight; therefore, Davis-Bacon wages apply, with Debarment, Anti-Lobbying, Gift Ban, and other specific forms that must be submitted with a bid. Compliance with NCDOT's DBE program is required on this contract. A combined DBE subcontracting goal of 6% has been established for this project. Contractors must be properly licensed as required by Chapter 87 of the N.C. General Statutes at the time of bid opening. Additionally, all prime contractors and subcontractors are required to be NCDOT prequalified at time of bid! The City reserves the right to waive any informality in the bidding and to reject any or all proposals. Should less than three bids be received, the project may be re-advertised.
