Description: The Contractor shall raise and reinstall the existing Fire Sprinkler Pipe and shall be compensated in accordance with the service rates specified on Exhibit B-1, Public Works Rate Sheet. The Contractor shall include all materials, components, auxiliary equipment, permits, parts, devices, supervision, licenses, insurance, bonds, transportation, installation, tools, training, travel and per diem, labor and any every other costs necessary to provide services for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), Inmate/ Ward Labor (IWL) Program at the California State Prison, Solano (SOL), located at 2100 Peabody Road, Vacaville CA, 95696. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES Pursuant to Exhibit D, Prosecution of the Work, liquidated damages are hereby set at $500 per day for each day the Contractor fails to complete work past the specified service term of the Agreement. Bonds If the Contract price exceeds $25,000, the successful bidder shall furnish an original payment bond and a duplicate copy to accompany the Contract in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount payable under the Contract. The bond MUST be prepared on CDCR's STD 807 form, Payment Bond to Accompany Construction Contract, provided to the Contractor by CDCR before execution of the Contract. If progress payments are provided for in the bid and the Contract amount exceeds $10,000, the successful bidder shall furnish an original faithful performance bond and a duplicate copy in a sum not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount payable under the Contract. These bonds must be executed by an admitted surety insurer that is licensed to transact surety business in the State of California and appears in the California Department of Insurance's listing as a surety bond provider. Progress payments are permitted on Agreements in the amount of $10,000 or more with a total term that is in excess of three months. If progress payments are indicated in the Agreement documents, a faithful performance bond in the sum of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount payable under the Agreement is required. Payments will not exceed ninety percent (90%) of the Agreement amount. Any funds so withheld may be paid upon completion of the project. State reserves the right to terminate this Agreement and to seek any other remedies afforded by the laws of the State of California.
