Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Ellensburg, Washington. Completed plans call for the construction of a 750-square-foot playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Project Number - 22089 The Contractor shall do all work and furnish all tools, materials and equipment for: Bid Call 2023-12, Unity Park in accordance with the Contract Specifications, Contract Plans, 2023 WSDOT Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction and the Contract Specifications, which are by this reference incorporated herein and made a part hereof, and shall perform any alterations in or additions to the work provided under this contract and every part thereof. The Contractor shall provide and bear the expense of all equipment, work and labor any sort whatsoever that may be required for the transfer of materials and for constructing and completing the work mentioned in the specifications in a professional and workmanlike manner. The Contractor shall complete its work in a timely manner and in accordance with the allowable working days submitted by the Contractor and approved by the City. Estimated project value is 1,800,000 to 2,400,000. The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and other miscellaneous items required to construct a new approximately 1/2 -acre park in Downtown Ellensburg. Site preparation includes demolition of onestory brick bank building and attached drive through bays, wood pavilion, asphalt parking lot, concrete walkways, and related features of the existing site. The park includes a comfort station building (with (2) two restrooms, storage/concierge space, mechanical chase, and drinking fountain), concrete flatwork plaza, permanent stage with backdrop wall, seat walls and curbs, permanent and temporary shade structures, site furnishings, natural turf event lawn, planting and trees, permanent irrigation system, event power, and site lighting; Utilities include new domestic water supply, sanitary sewer connections, storm connection and drains/structures, power supply, and conduit stub to future electric vehicle charging stations; and other miscellaneous items necessary to complete the project. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in a cashier's check or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Ellensburg. The engineer's range for the project is $1,800,000 to $2,400,000, plus tax (if applicable). *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The City of Ellensburg, Washington, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities or informalities in the bid or in the bidding.
