Renovation of a museum in Austin, Texas. Working plans call for the renovation of a museum.

As of 4/4/2024, this project has been canceled. It is unknown if the project will rebid at this time. Full mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) renovation of the mechanical rooms at LFH. Work within the mechanical rooms include AHU replacements, controls, fans, ductwork, terminal units, pumps, housekeeping pad, VFDs, piping and electrical. Asbestos and lead abatement, will be by others, in the attic and basement mechanical rooms before demolition and construction. The project will require a Texas Historical Commission permit and a completion report since LFH is on the National Register of Historical Places and is a State Antiquities Landmark. The budget range for the project is approximately $750,000.00 to $900,000.00 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Project Background, Description and General Scope 1.1.1 The University of Texas at Austin ("University" or "Owner") is soliciting competitive sealed proposals for the following project as further detailed in the attached Drawings and Specifications: MEP Renovation Littlefield House (LFH) Full mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) renovation of the mechanical rooms at LFH. Work within the mechanical rooms include AHU replacements, controls, fans, ductwork, terminal units, pumps, housekeeping pad, VFDs, piping and electrical. Asbestos and lead abatement, will be by others, in the attic and basement mechanical rooms before demolition and construction. The project will require a Texas Historical Commission permit and a completion report since LFH is on the National Register of Historical Places and is a State Antiquities Landmark. Objective The objective of the University for this project is to complete the project on time and within the project budget in a safe and workmanlike manner with a minimum of disruption to the existing building occupants. Coordination and cooperation among contractors and sub-contractors will be a key to success. Work will also be occurring at the same time as other work by the University by other contracts or its own shop forces. Awarded Contractor shall be responsible for the coord All work for this project must begin no earlier than May 12, 2024 and must be completed by the end of the day on August 10, 2024. The facility will only be available during the scheduled construction time period from 8:00 A. M. to 5:00 P. M. (CST), Monday through Friday except official University holidays. Should the awarded Contractor wish to work during other times, including weekends or nights, Contractor must notify the Construction Inspector in writing, a minimum of twenty-four hours in advance so that the University Police Department may be notified.
