This project is complete. The City of Kannapolis, North Carolina, herein after referred to as the Owner, is seeking the services of an individual or firm, hereinafter referred to as the Firm, to provide services for removal and reapplication of broken/cracked plaster on the ceiling and walls in the seating area of the Gem Theatre including the balcony as well as painting of all the plaster in the seating area of the theatre. The Gem Theatre is located at 111 Laureate Way, Kannapolis, NC 28081. A. Inspection of all loose and cracked ceiling, wall and molding areas for recommended removal B. Remove, clean and repair all necessary areas to eliminate future plaster failure C. Apply mesh tape over entire surface areas in which existing plaster does not need to be removed to prevent damage D. Include all repairs to the base coat if required E. Include all repairs to the channel iron if required F. Quality Industrial approved liquid bonders are to be applied to the base coat of all areas where current plaster exists G. Quality Industrial approved plaster finish/skim coat to be applied to al areas where liquid bonder is applied H. Protect all ground surfaces as well as any rails, wood surfaces, staging, ornamental areas from any spillage of materials or overspray. I. Paint all plaster surfaces with 2 coats of approved paint for plaster surfaces and provide color options to Owner for color selection J. Complete cleanup of area after installation K. Obtaining all required permits Access to the site for work is Monday-Saturday (Sundays if necessary). Please provide three (3) hard copies, as well as a digital copy of the full proposal in bid packet. D. Price for all work specified related to plaster work. E. Price for all work specified related to painting. F. Price for any required permits, and similar pre-construction activities and approvals. G. Total lump sum price. H. Attach photos or graphic renderings associated with design (if any). I. Provide three (3) References similar in project size and scope and preferably in North Carolina. The Owner shall release an addendum, if necessary, no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023.
