PROJECT LOCATIONS MILLBURY JR/SR HIGH SCHOOL 12 MARTIN STREET MILLBURY, MA 01527 ELMWOOD STREET ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 40 ELMWOOD STREET MILLBURY, MA 01527 The MILLBURY PUBLIC SCHOOLS is accepting bids for MILLBURY SCHOOL DOOR REPLACEMENT & SECURITY UPGRADE, Millbury Jr./Sr. High School, 12 Martin Street, Millbury, Massachusetts 01527 and Elmwood Street Elementary School, 40 Elmwood Street, Millbury, Massachusetts 01527; Bid #0186-2402. Work of this Contract includes replacement of exterior doors at Millbury Jr./Sr. High School and at Elmwood Street Elementary School including security upgrades at these locations including removal and disposal of existing doors and hardware, new metal doors and frames including glazing, new door hardware and all electrical work associated with door controls and security, painting, and appurtenant work as per the Contract Documents GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS o All work shall be completed in a manner that will minimize disruption to school related activities and personnel. o Secure work areas. o Contractor responsible for all Federal, State and Local permits. o All work to comply with Massachusetts State Building Code. o All work to comply with industry standards. o Clean up and remove all debris from site as needed daily and at the end of the project. o Prevailing wages apply, rate sheet included. WORK SPECIFICATIONS o Door replacement and security upgrade work at Millbury Jr./Sr. High School and Elmwood Street Elementary School to the extent shown on the Contract Drawings. o Remove and dispose of all waste and debris from the work site. It is the intent of these specifications to describe the door replacement and security upgrade work at Millbury Jr./Sr. High School and Elmwood Street Elementary School to the extent shown on the Contract Drawings. The work under this contract is to include the furnishing of all labor, materials necessary to complete this process. All contracts are awarded with the understanding that the contractor has acquainted himself with all the requirements of the contracts and specifications, the conditions of the site, and has obtained all the information necessary for the completion of this project. The Contractor shall not at any time, after the submission of his bid, make any claim whatsoever based on insufficient data or a misunderstanding of the requirements, nature, conditions or extent of the work under the contract
