The Millbury Public Schools is accepting bids for Outdoor Classrooms Project at the Millbury Jr./Sr. High School, 12 Martin Street, Millbury, MA and the Elmwood Street School, 40 Elmwood Street, Millbury, MA It is the intent of this solicitation to describe the construction and installation of two (2) outdoor classrooms at the Millbury Jr./Sr. High School and the Elmwood Street School to allow for outdoor classroom use and other student activities. The intention is for both of these classrooms to be constructed at approximately the same time under one contract with one vendor. For the most part, the design of each outdoor classroom is nearly identical. The work involves construction of a slab floor, sturdy beam posts and a finished roof, as per Huntress Associates description and blueprints. Work under this contract requires a contractor to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision necessary to accomplish the work described herein, accordance with all specifications and requirements. All bids are subject to the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 149. Wages are subject to minimum wage rates determined by the Massachusetts Dept. of Labor and Industries pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 149, Section 26 and 27.
