The Work consists of, but is not limited to installation of fiber optic traffic signal interconnect cable on Great America Parkway and Tasman Drive. Fiber distribution units and Ethernet switches will be configured and installed at various traffic signals. Also included are traffic signal modifications including pedestrian push button upgrades, installation of traffic monitoring CCTV cameras, travel time data collection units, and pedestrian motion sensors, and other work as shown in the Contract Documents and as directed by the Engineer. Q & A deadline: Nov 30, 2023 6:00:00 PM EST CONTRACT TIME. The Work shall reach Substantial Completion within seventy (70) Working Days from the date when the Contract Time commences to run. The Work shall reach Final Completion within ninety (90) Working Days from the date when the Contract Time commences to run. See Document 00050, References and Definitions, for definitions of Substantial Completion and Final Completion. Refer to Document 00520 for interim completion requirements for sub-phases of work. REQUIRED CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE(S). A California "A" contractor's license is required to bid this contract. Joint ventures must secure a joint venture license prior to award of this Contract. REQUIRED CONTRACTOR AND SUBCONTRACTOR'S REGISTRATION. The Bidder and subcontractor(s) must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. The Bidder or subcontractor(s) may not be awarded the Contract unless registered. BID PREPARATION COST. Bidders are solely responsible for the cost of preparing their Bids. RESERVATION OF RIGHTS. City specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all Bids, or re-bid, or to waive inconsequential deviations from Bid requirements not involving time, price, or quality of the Work.
